The grapevines of domain are driven organic since 1965. So the majority of the soil have never accepted herbicides! The other taken in into working after 1965 (purchase, tenancies) were before weeded.
We practice a viticulture simple with a butage in autumn then manners culturales from May till July (decavaillonage, griffages, binages). Then the natural vegetation growes again until winter.(Photograph :soil after grape harvests.) We recycle bines on the soil by grinding. We use almost no more provisions of organic matters except very punctual needs. |
